Metropolitan is the home ground of Met Police Bushey Bowls Club, founded in 1934, The first Club Green Keeper Bob Southwood was famed for maintaining Bowls greens, leading to us hosting Hertfordshire County Finals for several consecutive years.

Met Police Bushey Bowls Club is frequented by many Hertfordshire county players, who have been both new and long-term members of the club.
The Club has also produced three county presidents. Cyril Dace, Peter McNulty and Graham Searle.
