Applicable to: Club Memberships, Affiliate Club Memberships and Parking & Discount Cards.
Thank you for choosing to be part of Metropolitan Bushey. These Terms & Conditions form the contract between you and Metropolitan Police Bushey Sports Club Limited. They are designed to be clear, fair, and easy to understand so that your rights — and ours — are protected.
1. The Membership Contract
- Your contract is with Metropolitan Police Bushey Sports Club Limited.
- By joining any membership type or using our facilities, you accept these Terms & Conditions and confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into a membership agreement.
- You must provide accurate information when joining and keep your details up to date.
- Membership begins once payment (if applicable) has been received and you have received confirmation from us.
- We reserve the right to refuse membership or access for safety, operational, or conduct‑related reasons.
- Members must be 18 years or older to hold any membership type, including Parking & Discount Cards.
2. Membership Types
2.1 Full Club Membership (Metropolitan Police) – Free
- Available to serving and retired Metropolitan Police Officers and staff.
- Eligibility must be verified with a current payslip or pension slip.
- Provides access to free parking benefits (one vehicle per membership) and food & drink discounts.
- Eligible members qualify for immediate room hire discounts.
- Includes the right to vote at our AGM.
- Full Club Membership does not include gym access.
2.2 Affiliate Full Club Membership
- Applicants must be proposed and seconded by two existing Full Club Members.
- Provides access to free parking benefits (one vehicle per membership) and food & drink discounts.
- Eligible members qualify for immediate room hire discounts.
- Includes the right to vote at our AGM.
- Affiliate Full Club Membership does not include gym access.
2.3 Parking & Discount Card Membership
- Provides access to free parking benefits (one vehicle per membership) and food & drink discounts.
- This membership does not constitute Full Club Membership.
- Parking & Discount Card Membership does not include gym access.
3. Membership Payments
- Membership fees (where applicable) are payable in advance and are non‑refundable.
- Direct debit members are responsible for ensuring payments are made on time.
- Failed payments may result in suspended access until the balance is cleared.
- Promotional or introductory rates may be amended or withdrawn at any time.
4. Term, Renewal & Cancellation
- All memberships auto‑renew monthly or annually based on the payment schedule selected at joining.
- Our memberships and Parking & Discount Cards are subject to a minimum 12‑month term.
- Memberships may be cancelled without refund if the Board of Directors determines that a member has breached club rules or standards.
- To cancel any membership type, members must email info@metropolitanbushey.co.uk.
- Refunds are not issued for unused membership periods unless required by law.
5. Parking & Discount Card
- Only one vehicle registration may be assigned per member for free parking.
- Discounts apply only to the member’s own orders, rounds, or tabs.
- Discounts cannot be extended to guests unless the member is paying for them.
- Members receive 10% off food & drink up to £100 during their first 12 months; this increases to £1,000 after 12 months.
- Discounts cannot be used with other promotions unless explicitly stated.
- Members must have held their membership for six months to qualify for room hire discounts (excluding Studio and Meeting Room hire).
- Metropolitan Bushey may amend or withdraw the discount scheme at any time.
15. Privacy & Communications
You will receive essential service emails relating to your membership.
If you opt in to marketing, we may send information about events, offers, and activities; you may opt out at any time.
Under GDPR, Metropolitan Police Bushey Sports Club Limited is the Data Controller.
16. Changes to Terms
Website content is for general guidance and is not legally binding.
We may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
