Laura joined us with a wealth of experience in events, having worked in Central London organising and managing large events and Weddings.

      Tom Gurney

      Tom joined us from Haberdashers Boys School in 2022. He has a vast knowledge of groundsmanship, and has worked for Watford FC and Moor Park Golf Club. Tom is married and has a young family.

          Earl Scarlett

          Earl joined the team, as Head Chef at Metropolitan in 2023, he has previously been Head Chef at Letchworth Golf Club.

              Debbie Elliott

              Debbie works in our reception office and is able to help you with any enquiries including membership, sports bookings, and wakes.  She has worked in various admin and customer-focused roles including cabin crew and for 5-star hotels.

                  Jennifer Philpot

                  Jennifer joins Metropolitan having worked in some of the biggest and best hospitality brands.

                      Claire Kirikal

                      Claire Kirikal is a highly experienced Sales & Events Coordinator from within the hospitality industry, having worked in some prestigious London venues. Claire joins us to take Metropolitan to the next level.

                          John Lewis

                          John is our Head of Grounds and joined us from Haberdashers Boys School after 11 years. John has 32 years of working in the grounds field, during this time has worked at Dame Alice Owen School, Potters Bar FC, and Potters Bar CC. John lives with his partner and has two sons and grandchildren.

                              Marianne Owen

                              Marianne has experience in finance, management and as a business analyst. She has previous senior experience at Marks & Spencer, Yodel and Ralph Lauren.

                                  Fenella Stevens

                                  Fenella has worked for some of the biggest and best hospitality brands.

                                      Abby Dennis

                                      Abby joined us in 2021, to manage our marketing and to look after enquiries and bookings for our busy what’s on the calendar.  She has a wealth of experience in local marketing and events, having had her own business for many years.
